REGISTRATION INFORMATION | Service Saturday
The Hartford Project (THP) Service Saturday is a one-day event open to all ages. It is an opportunity for people to build relationships with the wider body of Christ and engage in ministry alongside THP worksite partners.

This spring, we invite individuals, families, and churches to participate in Service Saturday from their homes. We are working to provide online worship, virtual opportunities to connect, and in-home volunteer projects for this event.

Day of Event:
- 1:00 PM: Welcome and Worship (online)
- 1:30 PM: Meet your virtual team!
- 2:00 PM: Complete your team's volunteer project from your home. Teams will have the ability to stay connected virtually, post updates, and complete challenges throughout the event.
- 4:30 PM: Celebration and Closing (online)
Where?
This year, due to COVID-19 and social distancing, Service Saturday will be held in individual homes across the region. Virtual teams will be created and assigned different service projects that can be completed at home. Service Saturday Supply Kits will be delivered to homes, dependent on service project assignments.
Church Registration Steps
- Fill out the Online Church Registration Form today!
- Promote THP to youth, families, and adults within your church. Make sure all Individual Registrations (including your own) are submitted by May 2nd.
- Complete a background check for all leaders and a motor vehicle check for all drivers attending with your church.
- Complete the Online Church Agreement and Release Form (coming soon!) - must be completed after Step 3, above.
- Provide THP with two insurance riders - according to these Insurance Rider Requirements (coming soon!). If your group plans to attend additional events throughout the year, you may want to ask your insurance company to issue a rider that covers multiple events throughout the length of your policy.
You as the leader are responsible for
- Completing the Church Registration Steps listed above and communicating all necessary information to participants registering with your church.
- Screening all participants registering for THP Service Saturday through your church, to ensure they are adequately prepared and capable of participating in THP Service Saturday. This includes, but is not limited to, running background checks on all adults registering with your church and driving record checks on all drivers for your church. Additionally, you may choose to hold mandatory meetings for your team prior to THP Service Saturday, or require students to complete a certain number of service hours before participating in THP Service Saturday.
- Having at least a 6:1 minor to adult ratio.
- Arranging transportation for your group during THP Service Saturday. Please note that your group may be split into smaller groups for worksite teams.
- Please pray about and for this day. Encourage people in your church to seek God’s direction about serving together. We are looking forward to great things in the city of Hartford.
