WHEN
This summer we are hoping to bring back our home dinner experience for our summer outreach weeks.
Dates Coming Soon!
WHERE
Your Home: We are looking for hosts who choose to live in Hartford and have a positive view of living in our city. Our hope is that, as participants spend an evening in the homes/yards/driveways of people who enjoy living in Hartford, relationships will be formed that can change some culturally embedded views on urban living.
WHAT
Home Dinners are part of THP's Life in the City component. Each year Home Dinners are a favorite experience for participants and Home Dinner Hosts alike! As a Home Dinner Host, you can: share a delicious meal that represents you and your cultural heritage, walk with your group around your neighborhood to see some of the convenient resources, culture and history, and discuss your experiences living in Hartford and why you enjoy living in our city.
WHO
We would love for you to host a small group of THP participants (ages 12-18) and their leader for dinner. These students will be spending the week or weekend in Hartford, learning about the city, serving alongside various ministries and non-profits, and growing in relationships with God and people throughout the week. When you sign up, you'll be asked how many students you'd like to host.
